Hi my name is Emerson Holtermann and I’m an Industrial Designer at Savannah College of Art and Design. I strive to be a versatile designer studying fabrication, engineering, manufacturing, materials, etc in order to be a strong asset on any given project. A lot of my inspiration is arrived at back in my old home town in Wyoming doing what I love. I spend a lot of time in the mountains, backcountry snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking, and camping. Living in a community that heavily relies on the gear they use pushes me to design something stronger, lighter, and better than the product tested to save my life. As a designer my focus is rugged gear that allows the user a safer experience on their journey.
Metal fabrication is a big passion of mine and I enjoy incorporating it into my field of design any chance I get. Back home I've set up a small shop and spend days off forging knives, fabricating prototypes, and making jewelry.
